William C. Lehman and Mildred K. Ketron had both been born and raised in Hocking County, when they were married in 1963. It was not until 1983 that they moved to Dayton, Ohio area where they remained. Neither had the opportunity to attend college. William Lehman began as an electrician and spent most of his career as a route driver for 7-up. Mildred worked for Travelers Insurance and Pharmacia Corp. Having no children of their own, they left most of their estate to help young people improve their lives through higher education.
