Alice Kindler will always be remembered as a master teacher who taught countless Fairfield County children to play and appreciate the piano. An accomplished pianist herself, Miss Kindler had the honor of playing Carnegie Hall as a young woman. Never married and with no children, she chose to leave the bulk of her estate to a scholarship trust for residents of Fairfield County. The purpose of this trust is to promote the education and welfare of the residents and students of Fairfield County so that they may contribute to the community and improve the quality of their lives.
